National E-Commerce Award Winners

Scothosts are delighted to have been announced as the winners in the Best Use of Broadband category at the UK E-Commerce Awards 2004 – Scotland ceremony; which took place on 29 September at the Radisson SAS Hotel, Glasgow.

This is the second year running that we have won this award, which is testament to the success of our virtual working office environment and the increased productivity gained as a result.

The trophy and £2000 cheque was presented to our Managing Director, Mike Clarke by Scottish comedian Fred MacAuley, afterwards Mike commented, “It is a great honour one year after winning this award to still be considered as using broadband in an innovative and productive manner, particularly in such a fast moving technological sector. I would have to give a special thank you to all of our staff, as without their foresight and willingness to accept change none of this would be possible. This further goes to show how effective Scothosts are at reducing administrative costs, deploying staff in more productive income generating roles and subsequently increase the bottom line profit. This is exactly the kind of service we offer to our own clients and it is great to be able to use ourselves as an award winning case study”.
